The main organisation fighting for free education in the city is Cambridge Defend Education (CDE). We are a University of Cambridge-based student organisation fighting for free education. The organisation was initially formed in response to the 2010 attacks on higher education, but has recently regrouped in the face of the renewed onslaught of the Higher Education and Research Bill 2017  and PREVENT. We organise in a non-hierarchical manner, and all who wish to defend education with us are welcome to join.
